Bliss Acapella is a unique group consisting of 7 local ladies. They are the only group of their kind in Bloemfontein and offer the audience a musical experience they will not forget. The group uses no musical instruments, and all their songs are adaptations for voice only.
Bliss Acapella has a very wide repertoire: they regularly perform their renditions of songs from Laurika Rauch, Celine Dion, Michael Jackson, Florence and the Machine and even Hillsong to name a few. Bliss has shared the stage with renowned artists like Corlea Botha, Karen Zoid, Jannie Moolman and Matthys Roets. Locally Bliss Acapella has been known to work with several non-profit organisations, schools and churches.
The group was founded in 2012, but had a relaunch in 2016 when they decided to take Bloemfontein by storm. Since then the group has one self-titled performance per year, where they showcase their repertoire for the year. Since 2016 these shows have all been sold out. In 2016 and 2017 Bliss Acapella featured live on SuperSport to sing the national Anthem for the Varsity Sport netball tournament. In 2018 the group performed as guest artists at the SA Championships for the Physically Disabled. Since 2017 Bliss has been part of the annual Moments production in Bloemfontein. In 2019 Bliss also took part in the National Anthem competition hosted by News24, and have two professionally produced music videos on Youtube.
Early in 2019 the group launched their debut album, titled Bliss Acapella. The group enjoy performing at corporate events, weddings, large-scale productions or to add a special flair to any event.
