Armand Aucamp is an actor working out of Cape Town, Johannesburg and Los Angeles. He graduated from City Varsity School of Media and Creative Arts in 2009, top of his class. Since then he has worked in TV, Film, Theatre and Radio.Over the past 6 years, Armand worked extensively, locally and abroad.

His theatre credits include, Mary and the Conqueror (CPT, JHB, Dublin) in which he portrayed Alexander the Great, Iago in Othello directed by Mary Dreyer, Bladsy 3by Vicky Davis, Huis Toe (The Afrikaans adaptation of Harold Pinter’s ‘The Homecoming’ directed by Henry Milne) and playing the title role of Cardenio: Shakespeare’s Lost Play at Maynardville. His latest TV credentials include SterlopersPandjewinkelstories, HBO’s Homeland Season 4 and well as the CBC 6-part mini-series, The Book of Negros, starring Cuba Gooding Jr and Aunjanue Ellis, which Armand shot in Cape Town and Canada in 2014.

Armand Aucamp has also worked on a number of international feature films including Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, 21st Cent Fox’s Chronicle and BBC’s Mankind and most recently, Gavin Hood’s latest feature film, Eye in the Sky. Locally, he has worked on feature films such as Knysna and Die Ontwaking as well as the critically acclaimed short film, Almon, Henry, which he starred alongside Nataniël . Armand is currently to be seen as the new Jacques Rynhard in Ballade vir ‘n Enkeling and just wrapped production as the lead for a new kykNET drama series, Die Boekklub. Armand is currently filming season 2 of Sterlopers for kykNET and goes into production early next year for the epic biopic Krotoa as Jan van Riebeeck.
