Biography:
Ella Kotze was born in Prieska and matriculated in 1980, after which she spent the next year touring SA with the well-known Sias Ryneke. In 1983 she moved to Bloemfontein where she began working at PACOFS while studying Singing with Sheila Fox.

Ella has also appeared on albums with Phillip Kotze, Rina Hugo, Janita Claasen, Thabo Pitse and many other well-known artists. She has also recorded a children’s album with the title of ‘Ella en die Woelige Bytjies’ (Ella and the Busy Bees).
In 2014 she released her first solo album “Ek wil niks terug hou nie”. She is also the co-organizer of the ‘Willie Venter “Moments Skouspel”‘ which gets staged every year in the Sand du Plessis Theatre in Bloemfontein. She has also assisted Will Venter with productions such as WoW of FAF (Wonderful World of Food, Art and Fashion) and the Paralympic Games opening and closing events.
Ella also does regular solo performances as well as sharing the stage with other artists such as Sonja Herholdt, Corlea Botha, Jannie Moolman, Elois Cupido and last but not least the world-famous Bloemfontein Children’s Choir under Dr. Huibrie Verster.
She currently works at the University of the Free State as the secretary to the Odeion School of Music.
Ella is also a passionate motivational speaker and is a regular guest at many Woman’s Breakfasts and events. She also loves to perform at various congregations and churches around the country with praise and worship song.
The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not want. Every day I experience how God fills me with his holy spirit and how he blesses me to be able to bless those around me. I am privileged to walk this path, firmly anchored by my Creator.
